Founded in 2010 by playwright, filmmaker and spoken word artist Jermaine Wong, Final Call Productions has built a reputation for producing culturally specific, emotionally powerful and artistically rigorous work across theatre, film and spoken word. Our productions have been performed and screened across the UK for community audiences, educational institutions, faith communities and corporate organisations.

We believe that lasting positive change begins with internal transformation and that theatre, film and spoken word are among the most powerful instruments available for producing that change. We work with young people, communities, educational institutions, faith communities, and organisations that understand the difference between an event that is attended and an experience that is remembered.

Founder Jermaine Wong

Jermaine Wong is an award-winning playwright, filmmaker, spoken word artist and creative director with nearly thirty years of experience working at the intersection of theatre, education, community engagement and cultural transformation.

As a writer and director his work consistently explores themes of identity, forgiveness, fatherhood, faith, fractured relationships and the enduring power of human endurance. His productions span theatre, film and spoken word and have been performed and screened across the UK for community audiences, educational institutions, faith communities, professional organisations, and corporate commissioners.

His debut full-length production And There Was War — a bold, large-scale theatrical work — became the flagship production of Final Call Productions, establishing the company's reputation for ambitious original theatre and drawing together the core creative team that continues to shape the company's work today. A revival of And There Was War remains a future ambition.

His applied theatre production I'm Having Sex — a 45 minute drama addressing Child Sexual Exploitation — has been performed for schools, social care professionals, healthcare workers, and law enforcement agencies across the UK, demonstrating the power of theatre as a training and awareness tool in institutional settings.

His play Stay Home, Save Lives — written and produced during the Covid-19 pandemic — explored faith, forgiveness and the fractures within a relationship when the world outside has collapsed. A two-hander of sustained dramatic tension and emotional honesty, the play continued Final Call Productions' commitment to making original work under the most demanding conditions.

New Year's Eve began as a stage play before being developed into a six-episode drama series — a reverse narrative love story exploring faith, loss, and whether love can survive what breaks it. The project demonstrated Jermaine's ambition to develop Final Call Productions' storytelling across multiple platforms and forms.

His short film No Poetry earned him the Inspired Faith Award for Best Writer and Director. His play Our Son — a raw and emotionally charged drama about a fractured father-son relationship — has been performed to critical acclaim.

In 2026 Jermaine was commissioned by Savills PLC to create DEPOSITED — an original dramatic work marking one hundred years of Black History Month — performed for four hundred senior professionals from some of the UK's leading organisations. DEPOSITED represents the most significant corporate commission in Final Call Productions' history and a landmark piece in the centenary year of Black History Month.

Jermaine's practice is lived-experience-led, faith-rooted and culturally relevant. He brings nearly thirty years of inner-city London education, youth development, behaviour and engagement leadership, and creative intervention design to every project he undertakes.
