Final round for Final Call Productions

day after pic thumbnail.jpg

Hey lovely people!

The wait is now over (and by this we mean a few weeks!)

We’ve got some exciting news to catch you up with. A few weeks ago, we mentioned a competition called The Pitch that we’ve entered (to win a whopping £30k) to make a new short film called The Day After. Well… the wait is now over and we are extremely proud to announce, that after being shortlisted, WE MADE IT TO THE FINAL ROUND!!!

Check out the trailer which got us this far here

It was a long and agonising wait for the team to get the results, they were published a shy 1 day after the set deadline, twas slowly killing us inside... lol But it was definitely worth the wait!

As you know we haven’t quite won yet but as a top 10 finalist we have won an amazing experience,  a residential course in the Lake District where Jermaine will get the chance to consult with Screenwriter and Media Consultant Laurie Hutzler and prepare for "The Pitch" where we will get to pitch our film to a panel at ...wait for it... one of the world's leading destinations for the makers of film & television.. Pinewood Studios! The winner will be announced on the 15th January.

Now please keep us in your prayers because we’ve got the perfect film in mind which will truly deliver FCP style. With God at the forefront and the captain of our ship we’re ready to sail the seas to win this big prize and beyond!

This competition is held every year so If you would like to read more about the competition, click here for the link.

Stay blessed and thanks for reading

New Years Eve Web-series

FCP is excited to bring you our latest venture.....

unhappy-couple.jpg

Our brand new web series 'New Years Eve' pursues Paige and Terence and their moving expedition through the trials and tribulations of life. Ultimately, a tale of loss and how that loss alters the devotion of a couple and their trust in Christ.

Revealed in six episodes, viewers will watch as the New Years Eve story begins, at the end!! In the opening instalment, Paige and Terence have already endured a tragedy. As the story unfolds, we will visit the couple each year on New Year's Eve and find out what life has thrown at them in the past 12 months. The sixth and final chapter ends on New Years Eve at the beginning of their union, when the couple first meet!...Genius!

For Auld Lang Syne.png

Some of our very early FCP followers may remember the stage performance we performed just a few times called 'For Auld Lang Syne'.... Well that stage show now has a new name, updated script and has transformed into New Years Eve screenplay! So if you were fortunate enough to see the play you'll know there's an amazing story to look forward to!

"SO.....When can we watch this amazing series?!" I hear you cry!

With the final edit of the script complete, auditions organised and a film crew prepped, we are hoping to release New Years Eve early in the New year! (2018) We're planning to have a screening of the whole thing and then the episodes will be released weekly online! Exciting stuff!

How can i get involved?

So until next week...

Guess what?! We’ve been shortlisted !!!!!!

Okay, the exclamation marks are maybe a little OTT (Over The Top) but this is exciting news because it means that we are footsteps away from winning £30,000 to make The Day After into a short film! So let’s toast to that! This is really getting exciting here at the FCP camp!

If you didn't get a chance to see the trailer see it here

Thanks again for all your love and support, for voting, sharing... We really appreciate everything, including reading this post :)

In terms of what’s to happen next with the competition, we (Jermaine) will be attending the shortlisters day on the 19th, then the 10 finalists will be revealed on the 20th of this month!! This is our first time entering in to this competition, so we are super excited and eager to know what’s next. In all fairness though, please Pray for us... With everything that’s been going on in the background, on top of cancelling ‘And there was war’ this December, we have been working like dedicated maniacs to ensure that we are still able to put on a great show for you, even present you with more short films like No Poetry and possibly better (click here to watch No Poetry if you've missed it) and oh yeah..there's this.....

Auditions are open!

If acting isn't your thing then we have sponsorship packages for your brand or company to partner up with us on the web series, get in touch, let's talk! Email us

Germane Thinking Spot What?!!

Not sure if you have been following or watching the videos on our Germane Thinking Spot segments on our YouTube channel BUT it's been getting really tense and interesting with the topics. Here at FCP, we've been discussing the meaning of what it takes to have 'Rock Solid Faith' and to give you a taste have a look at this video and let us know your thoughts. We'd love to know more on what you think.
